Bandar Tasek Mutiara Night Market, Simpang Ampat

Bandar Tasek Mutiara is one of the newer townships in southern Seberang Perai, and its pasar malam (夜市) reflects that: My Weekend Plan's July 2026 round-up describes it as a newer market with a tidy layout, conveniently placed for anyone living or working around the mainland end of the Second Bridge.

Expect the full pasar malam spread – fried noodles, grilled snacks and desserts – plus fresh produce, so residents can pick up dinner and groceries in one go. It suits families from Simpang Ampat, Batu Kawan and Bandar Cassia who want a weekday market without crossing to Bukit Mertajam.

Schedule: My Weekend Plan (2026) lists it on Thursday, about 4:30pm to 9:30pm, on Jalan Tasek SS3. However, an older 2015 list of Seberang Perai pasar malam put Bandar Tasek Mutiara on Saturday. Markets sometimes shift days or run more than one night, so we treat Thursday as the current day but recommend checking locally before a long drive.

Tips: it closes earlier than many island markets, so aim to arrive by 6:30pm. Bring cash or an e-wallet and a bag for produce. If you are coming from the island, combine it with an early-evening stop at Design Village or IKEA Batu Kawan. Schedule source: My Weekend Plan via Newswav (July 2026).
