Penang Events (penangevents.com.my) is a listings and review site for everything happening in Penang: concerts, festivals, 市集 and pasar malam, fairs, mall events, hotel and restaurant promos, supermarket deals, Happy Meal toy drops and new openings. We cover both Penang Island and Seberang Perai.
How we verify a listing
- We find events through organisers, partners, ticketing sites, malls, hotels, Penang Global Tourism, local news and social media.
- Before we publish, we confirm the details on an official source: the organiser's own page, the venue, the ticketing site or a press release. If a detail only appears on Facebook, we say so and link to the post.
- Anything we can't confirm is marked to be confirmed, with a link to the organiser. We never guess a price, time or venue.
- Every page shows its source links and the date we last checked it.
Ended events stay online with a clear notice and a link to the next edition, so old links keep working.
Working with organisers and merchants
We work with event organisers and merchants who want their listings to be accurate. Partner material is always checked and rewritten in our own words, and paid placements are labelled. To list an event or discuss a partnership, contact us.
Images
We use images that organisers, partners and brands publish for promotion, and credit each one. Where there's no suitable image, you'll see our own category artwork.
