Gravity is the rooftop bar on Level 24 of G Hotel Kelawai, the taller of the two G Hotels at the top of Gurney Drive. It has panoramic views over the Gurney seafront, Pulau Tikus and the George Town skyline, and for the last quarter of 2026 it has a regular live music slot that makes it an easy weeknight option.
"Strings by Jay" sees Jay Parcosa play live solo sets from Tuesday to Sunday – 9pm to 10pm on weekdays and a longer 9pm to 11pm on weekends. It is relaxed acoustic music to drink to rather than a party, so it suits date nights, after-work catch-ups and visitors who want a skyline view without the noise of a club.
The October–December promotions also include Buy 1 Free 1 on selected house pour spirits and wine all day, and a beer deal of 10 mugs from RM165 nett, which works out well for a group. If you are celebrating, the bar also offers sky birthday and romantic dinner packages that need advance booking.
Come for sunset – the bar opens at 5pm – and stay for the music. Gurney Drive hawker centre and Gurney Plaza/Gurney Paragon are a short walk or drive away if you want dinner first.
