G Hotel Gurney is running a two-venue New Year's Eve countdown, Countdown & Cheers '27, on Thursday, 31 December 2026. You can pick between the ground-floor Tree Bar, an al fresco bar built around a big old tree right on Persiaran Gurney, and G Spot, the hotel's cosier wine and cocktail bar on Level 3.
Tree Bar is where the party is: it runs from 7pm to 1am with live DJ music (the DJ is exclusive to Tree Bar), party packs and special beverage packages. G Spot opens for the countdown from 9pm to 1am and suits those who prefer a calmer drink and conversation as midnight approaches. Both outlets will offer exclusive drinks packages and discounts on the night.
Prices for the packages are not published on the offer page yet, so call the hotel on +604 238 0000 or use the online reservation form to check rates and secure a table – New Year's Eve tables on Gurney Drive tend to go quickly. The hotel notes that entertainment and packages may change without notice.
The location is the big draw: you are steps from the Gurney Drive seafront, Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon, so you can do dinner at the hawker centre or a mall restaurant and walk over. Expect heavy traffic and full car parks along Gurney Drive after 10pm on New Year's Eve; e-hailing or staying nearby is the stress-free option.
Highlights
- Live DJ at the open-air Tree Bar
- Quieter countdown option at G Spot, Level 3
