Tropical Spice Garden's community, known as the Spice Fam, gets its own celebration with The Fam Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, 21–22 November 2026, from 10am to 6pm. The garden sits on the coastal road at Teluk Bahang, set in a lush valley of spice plants, herbs and tropical trees.
The weekend is built around nature, curiosity and simply being outdoors together. According to the Penang Global Tourism listing, there will be workshops, experiences, shared meals, quiet corners and encounters across the garden, and the event welcomes both long-time members and first-timers. It is a gentle alternative to a mall weekend, especially for younger children who enjoy touching, smelling and exploring.

Go in the morning, when the garden is cooler and the light under the canopy is lovely. Wear comfortable shoes for the sloping paths, pack insect repellent and a refillable water bottle, and leave time for the views over the sea. Teluk Bahang is a long drive from the south of the island, so pair the visit with lunch nearby and make a day of it.
