ELEMEN is a new interactive, immersive exhibition opening on 29 October 2026 at The Waterfront Shoppes in The Light City, Gelugor, and running until 27 February 2027. The organiser, De Comate Sdn Bhd (D-Project), bills it as Penang's largest interactive immersive exhibition.
Visitors move through more than 15 sensor-activated rooms spread across five elemental realms, where light, sound and technology respond to your movement. Exhibitions like this are a hit with children, who love seeing projections react when they jump, wave or run, and with older visitors after photogenic backdrops.
Being indoors and open from 10am to 10pm daily, it makes a dependable rainy-day or after-dinner plan, and it spans the whole year-end school holidays plus Chinese New Year. Ticket prices and age guidance had not been published on the tourism listing when we checked, so look at the organiser's site or contact them (+6011-6579 6228, info@d-project.art) before going.
Note that the end date appears as 14 February 2027 on one Penang Global Tourism summary and 27 February 2027 on the event's own listing – if you are planning a late visit, confirm first. Weekday mornings are likely to be quieter than school-holiday weekends, giving children more time in each room. Wear comfortable shoes and charge your phone for photos.
