Mandarin stand-up comedian 卢卡斯 (Lucas) is back after a year away with 《好好做人 Be a Good Man》, a brand-new hour built around becoming a first-time father. The George Town leg runs at Loft 29 on Gat Lebuh Gereja over 22 and 23 January 2027, with a Friday night show and two shows on Saturday, including a newly added matinee.
The premise: Lucas thought he was already a grown-up until his child arrived and he realised he was still learning how to "做人". Expect honest, self-deprecating observations about the chaos, anxiety and sweetness of new parenthood – relatable whether you are a reluctant adult, a couple still debating kids, or tired parents who need a night off. The organiser warns that the set may touch on politics, adult themes, swearing and dark humour, so sensitive audiences ("玻璃心") should think twice.
Seven ticket tiers run from RM69 to RM169, with the pricier seats bundling priority photos, signed polaroids and souvenirs. Use the EARLYBIRD code for RM10 off before 12 December 2026, or GROUP60 to save RM60 when buying four or more. Several sessions were already marked "almost full" when we checked.
Loft 29 is a converted warehouse near Weld Quay and the clan jetties. Pair the show with dinner along Beach Street or Lebuh Armenian, and allow time for parking in the heritage zone, which is tight on weekends. Mainlanders can catch the same show closer to home at The Ship Campus, Batu Kawan, in March.
