Good news for Seberang Perai comedy fans: Mandarin stand-up 卢卡斯 (Lucas) is taking his new show 《好好做人 Be a Good Man》 to the mainland, with a single performance at the Opera Theatre inside The Ship Campus, Batu Kawan, on Saturday, 20 March 2027 at 8pm. It is billed as the 【PN Mainland】 stop, so there is no need to battle bridge traffic into George Town.
The material is the same fresh hour he brings to Loft 29 in January: life after becoming a new dad, the realisation that being an adult is harder than it looks, and the messy, funny, touching moments of early parenthood. It runs around 75 minutes, is performed in Mandarin, and comes with the organiser's warning that it may include politics, adult topics, profanity and dark jokes.
The venue is a proper auditorium, which makes for better sightlines than a typical bar comedy night. Six ticket tiers run from RM69 to RM169, with the top seats including priority photo sessions and souvenir packs. The early-bird code EARLYBIRD (RM10 off) is valid until 12 December 2026, and GROUP60 knocks RM60 off orders of four tickets or more. The show was already marked "almost full" when we checked, months ahead.
This is a good night out for young couples and parents living in Batu Kawan, Bukit Mertajam, Simpang Ampat and Seberang Jaya. Have dinner at the Bandar Cassia or Simpang Ampat eateries beforehand, and note that doors open an hour before the show.
