Island 88 – the revamped Island Plaza in Tanjung Tokong – hosts Kita-kita Market on the first Sunday of every month. Billed as "Untuk Kita Semua" (for all of us), it takes over the mall's 3rd floor from 11am to 6pm, and entry is free.
The mall describes it as a community market mixing shopping, food, music and creativity. Its poster lists pop-up stores, live music, kids' games, collectibles, arts and crafts, plus food and coffee stalls. Expect local brands and small sellers rather than big-name retailers, which is part of the charm.
Going by the "every 1st Sunday" schedule, the next editions fall on 1 November and 6 December 2026. The mall has not published a vendor list for each month, so the line-up will change from one market to the next. If you run a small business, Island 88 is also inviting vendors to take a booth; the contact number is on the official poster.
Make a full Sunday of it: Island 88 also runs a separate weekly Sunday Market for vintage and collectibles on its Mezzanine Floor during the same hours, so you can browse both in one trip. Tanjung Tokong is a short drive from Gurney Drive and Straits Quay.
