Star Media Group’s long-running Star Education Fair has announced its Penang stop for 2027: Saturday and Sunday, 3 and 4 April 2027, from 11am to 6pm at The TOP Penang in Komtar. Admission is free for all visitors, and registration is open on Eventbrite.
The fair connects students and parents with a broad mix of local and international institutions under one roof. You can explore university degrees, college diplomas and foundation programmes, scholarship opportunities and TVET pathways, and talk to education providers and counsellors directly.
Who should go? Form 5 and Form 6 students, UEC holders, diploma students looking to top up to a degree, and parents comparing costs between private universities and overseas options. Bring your results slip (or forecast grades), a budget range, and a shortlist of courses so you can make the most of each booth.
Getting there: The TOP is in Komtar, the hub for Rapid Penang buses on the island, which makes public transport the easiest choice on a busy weekend. If you drive, use the Komtar or nearby mall car parks and expect queues in the afternoon. Penang Road, Lebuh Chulia and the Prangin area offer plenty of food before or after your visit.
