With SPM, STPM and UEC leavers starting to plan their next step, JM Education Group brings the third edition of its JM Education Fair to JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La on Sunday, 22 November 2026, from 12pm to 5pm. The hotel is on Magazine Road, right beside the Komtar area, so it is easy to reach from anywhere on the island.
The fair focuses on both overseas and local study options. Institution partners cover Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia, and you can speak directly to representatives about entry requirements, intakes, scholarships and costs. It is a good format if you are still comparing countries rather than committed to one university – you can collect brochures from several destinations in an afternoon.
Who is it for? School leavers, diploma and foundation students thinking of a transfer, working adults looking at postgraduate study and, of course, parents who will be footing the bill. The specific list of participating institutions had not been published on the listing we checked, so register ahead and ask the organiser which universities will be present if you have a specific target.
Tips: bring copies of your latest results, a list of questions about fees, living costs and part-time work rules, and a notebook to compare answers. Parking at the hotel and nearby malls fills up on Sunday afternoons; the Komtar bus hub is a short walk away if you are taking Rapid Penang. Afterwards, Penang Road and Chulia Street have plenty of food spots.
