The Penang Green Summit returns on 12 and 13 November 2026, this time at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC) in The Light City, Gelugor, under the theme “AI for Sustainability”. According to the state’s Buletin Mutiara, the two-day programme ties into the Penang2030 vision and aims to position the state as a regional hub for AI-driven green innovation.

For the general public, the part to note is the exhibition: more than 40 exhibitors showcasing sustainability-related technologies, services and solutions, with free entry. Alongside it run a conference with more than 20 speakers and an expected 200-plus delegates, four workshops (AI in manufacturing sustainability, green operations, supply chain management and business resilience) and an AI4Sustainability HackFest. A gala dinner on the second night hands out awards such as the Penang Green Office Excellence Award and Penang Green Hotel Excellence Award.

Who should go? SME owners looking at solar, energy efficiency or ESG reporting tools, facilities managers, students in engineering and environmental courses, and anyone curious how AI is being used to cut waste and carbon. Conference passes and workshop registration details had not been published on the sources we checked, so check with the organisers before you plan around the talks.

PWCC is at the waterfront side of The Light City off Lebuhraya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu. The Waterfront Shoppes next door is scheduled to soft-open on 29 October 2026, which should give visitors more food and coffee options after walking the exhibition.
