Hard Rock Hotel Penang is ending 2026 with a full night out on Thursday 31 December. Most diners will head to the New Year's Eve buffet at Starz Diner, which runs from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. The hotel's menu highlights include slow-braised beef short ribs, Hong Kong-style orange duck and seafood, with croquembouche and yuzu tartlets among the desserts.
After dinner, the Poolside Party starts at 7:45pm and goes on until 1am, with live performances, a DJ and fireworks at midnight. Each ticket comes with one drink and a party pack. Children aged 12 and under get in free with an adult, so it is an easy countdown choice for families. Hotel guests get two adult and two child tickets per room at no charge, and diners at Hard Rock Cafe or Starz Diner pay a lower ticket price.
If you would rather celebrate a little later, LEÑA at Pizzeria has a "Golden Beginnings" New Year buffet on Saturday 2 January 2027. On NYE itself, Hard Rock Cafe also offers a set dinner, and LEÑA runs a late-night pop-up from 8:30pm.
Tips: Book the buffet by 15 December, or the party by 25 December, to get the early-bird rates. Batu Ferringhi gets very busy on New Year's Eve, so think about staying over or using e-hailing. Bookings go through +60 12 420 3076, +60 4 886 8057 or fb.penang@hardrockhotels.net.
