Golden Sands has long been one of Batu Ferringhi's go-to family resorts, and its Family Feast and Fun Staycation puts most of a family weekend into one booking. You stay at least two nights in a Superior Family Combo room. Daily breakfast for up to two adults and two children is included.
The package also gives you one Pizza Combo (two regular pizzas and a jug of soft drinks) and one set dinner for two adults and two children. There is unlimited access to the Adventure Zone for two children, plus one Adventure Zone mystery box per stay. That is a lot of entertainment for the kids without extra payments at the counter.
You can book and stay any time until 31 December 2026, so the package covers the year-end school holidays. Note that bookings over New Year's Eve will include the hotel's NYE Countdown package charges. You need to book at least two days ahead, and an extra third person costs MYR150++ per night with an extra bed.
Tips: The rates shown change by date. When we checked, the page listed from USD 342 average per night, so switch the currency to MYR on the Shangri-La site to compare. Booking direct as a Shangri-La Circle member gives you the children's meal benefits described on the offer page. Group bookings of 10 or more rooms are not eligible, and blackout dates may apply.
