Xventure Penang: Indoor Adventure Park at The Waterfront Shoppes

Xventure, the indoor adventure park operator that has already expanded into Thailand and Hong Kong, makes its Malaysian debut at The Waterfront Shoppes in Gelugor on 29 October 2026, the same day the mall soft-opens. The operator has put about RM8 million into the 1,800 sq m park, which packs 11 adventure zones aimed at teenagers, adults, families and company groups.

The headline attraction is the Challenger Arena, an 8-metre-tall structure with a digital tagging system and a live leaderboard, so you can see how you rank against friends. There is also a 4.5-metre-high Aerial Rope Course and what is described as a gigantic seesaw for group play.

Sessions run for two hours. Non-peak prices are RM40 for X-Junior and RM60 for X-Plorer, with the category decided by the visitor's height; peak-period pricing had not been published at the time of writing. For the launch, the first 100 customers from 29 October to 1 November can buy a second ticket for RM1.

On opening day the doors open at 11.30am; after that Xventure runs from 10am to 10pm daily. It suits active families with older kids, school-holiday outings and team-building groups. Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes, and pair the visit with the ELEMEN light exhibition in the same mall or a walk along the waterfront promenade.
