Hin Bus Depot is hosting a free film screening as part of Palestine Cinema Days on Monday 2 November 2026, from 8pm to 10pm on the Deck. It is a chance to watch Palestinian films and stories together with a community audience.
Hin Bus Depot, a converted bus depot on Jalan Gurdwara, is one of George Town's main creative community hubs, hosting exhibitions, talks, screenings and weekend markets throughout the year. An evening screening on the Deck is a relaxed, community-style way to watch films that rarely make it into commercial cinemas.
Entry is free for all, but you need to register through the Google Form linked on Hin Bus Depot's events page. The film titles had not been named on the page when we checked, so look at the form or the venue's social media for the line-up and any age guidance.
Being an outdoor-style space, it is worth bringing insect repellent and a light layer in case of evening breeze or rain – November is still part of Penang's wetter season. The venue lists parking on site, and the surrounding streets have plenty of hawker and cafe options for an early dinner beforehand. Please be considerate of neighbours when leaving, as the area is partly residential.
