How Long Have You Been Here is a solo exhibition by Penang-based artist Hoo Fan Chon, showing at the Hin Bus Depot Gallery until 15 November 2026. Opening hours are 12pm to 7pm on weekdays and 10am to 7pm on weekends.
The show turns its attention to Bangladeshi migrant workers in George Town, looking at them through the lens of aspiration and belonging. Its title comes from a question commonly exchanged among Bangladeshi workers themselves – one that means something quite different depending on who is asking. Working with voice, body and object, the exhibition explores how people's movement becomes visible as culture, labour and the small traces of everyday life.
Hoo is known for research-driven visual work on class aspiration, cultural identity, informal histories and colonial legacies. He studied photography at the London College of Communication and co-founded the Run Amok art collective, which was active from 2012 to 2017.

Visit on a Friday or weekend and you can also browse the Hin markets on the Deck and Lawn.
