JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La is marking its 40th anniversary with a limited-time city staycation. The 40 Years Celebration Special gives you 24% off the Flexible Rate when you stay at least two nights. Breakfast for two adults at Café JEN is included every day, along with 20% off food and beverage at Café JEN and the hotel's Wi-Fi.
The booking window is from 19 October to 6 December 2026, and stays must fall between 26 October and 13 December 2026. That window takes in the start of the year-end holiday season. On the day we checked, the Shangri-La site listed rates from USD 186 for two nights. The website shows USD by default, so switch the currency to ringgit to compare.
The hotel sits on Magazine Road beside Komtar, which makes it a handy base for a heritage weekend. You can walk to Penang Road for cendol or explore the heritage streets on foot, and Rapid Penang buses run through the Komtar area.
Tips: Book direct on the Shangri-La website or app as a Shangri-La Circle member to earn points. Room rates are subject to a 10% service charge and 8% SST. On top of that, Penang charges a MYR3 nett Hotel Fee per room per night, and foreign guests pay a MYR10 Tourism Tax per room per night. Blackout dates may apply, and the offer cannot be combined with other promotions.
