For mainland families, a hotel buffet usually means crossing one of the bridges. Iconic Hotel in Icon City, Bukit Mertajam, gives Seberang Perai diners a closer choice with its Catch 'N' Carve buffet dinner. The hotel introduced a new buffet menu from 3 July 2026, with both familiar favourites and new dishes. As the name suggests, the spread focuses on seafood and carvery.
The buffet runs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7pm to 10pm and is priced at RM129+ per person. The discounts are generous. Senior citizens aged 60 and above get 30% off, children aged 6 to 12 get 40% off, and the birthday person gets 50% off. That makes it an easy pick for a family birthday dinner in BM.
The "+" means service charge and tax are added to the listed price, so work out the final bill before you go. Terms and conditions apply. The hotel website links to the full menu and an enquiry contact on the promotion page.
Tips: Weekend dinners at mainland hotels fill up quickly with family celebrations, so book ahead through the hotel on +604 505 9988 or talktous@iconichotel.com.my. Bring proof of the birthday date if you want the 50% discount. Ask about parking when you book, as the promotion page does not mention it.
