Between the Spider-Man keychains and the Hello Kitty x Godzilla series, McDonald's Malaysia filled the gap with a mystery toy. From 27 August to 23 September 2026, every Happy Meal came with a free toy that McDonald's described only as soft and squishy, and you only found out which one you had when you opened the box. It was available for dine-in, McDelivery and Drive-Thru.

McDonald's did not publish a list of designs for this promotion. Because the toys were a surprise, we have not listed a line-up here. If you know which designs were included, check against photos from the McDonald's Malaysia promotion page or collector posts before you buy or trade.

Mystery toy periods between big licensed series are common at McDonald's Malaysia. They are a good time to buy a Happy Meal for younger kids who just want a toy and are not chasing a set. For collectors they are harder, because you cannot choose and duplicates are likely.

This promotion has ended. It was followed by Hello Kitty and Friends x Godzilla from 24 September, and the current series is SpongeBob SquarePants x One Piece, which started on 22 October 2026. All the Penang outlets listed on this page come from McDonald's store locator and cover both the island and Seberang Perai.

Tips

Ended 23 September 2026. Look for leftover squishies on Carousell or in Penang parent groups.
With mystery toys, swapping is the only reliable way to get a specific design. Trade duplicates with friends.
Squishy toys pick up dust and marks easily. Keep them in their bags if you plan to trade.

Not yet confirmed by the organiser: list of squishy toy designs, Happy Meal set prices. We'll update this page when details are published.
