KFC Malaysia has teamed up with Mofusand, the Japanese illustrated cats known for their silly costumes. In this collection the cats are dressed as KFC favourites, including a bucket, a drumstick and an egg tart. Syioknya's listing, which links to KFC's campaign page, gives the start date as 22 September 2026. Newswav reported the wider launch in early October.
There are three Keychain Plush Charm designs. They cost RM49.90 as a purchase-with-purchase or RM54.90 a la carte. The bigger 8-inch Plush costs RM79.90 with purchase or RM84.90 a la carte, but it is only stocked at selected stores. If you buy a Chicky Meal, you get a free Mofusand sticker sheet and notebook, one per receipt. World of Buzz says any KFC item, even a single piece of chicken or a drink, qualifies you for the add-on price. Tote bags have been mentioned as coming soon.
For Penang fans, KFC Queensbay Mall in Bayan Lepas is one of the themed outlets. It hosted an activation on 9 October, per World of Buzz. We could not confirm stock at other Penang KFC outlets, and the 8-inch plush is limited to selected stores, so call ahead before making a special trip.
Syioknya's listing of the terms says you cannot choose a design and returns or exchanges are not accepted. That makes swapping with other fans the easiest way to get the design you want.
