McDonald's Happy Meal Hello Kitty and Friends x Godzilla Toys 2026 (Penang)

Before SpongeBob and the Straw Hats took over, McDonald's Malaysia ran a Hello Kitty and Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal series. McDonald's announced that all 8 toys would come free with every Happy Meal from 24 September 2026, through McDelivery, Drive-Thru or at the restaurant. Each toy dresses a Sanrio character as a Toho monster.

According to Syioknya's listing, the toys came out two per week. Hello Kitty as Godzilla and Cinnamoroll as Destoroyah came first on 24 September, then My Melody as Mothra and Badtz-maru as Rodan on 1 October. Pompompurin as Gigan and Chococat as SpaceGodzilla followed on 8 October. Kuromi as Mechagodzilla and Keroppi with Pikki and Koroppi as King Ghidorah finished the set on 15 October. The run ended on 21 October, and the SpongeBob x One Piece series started the next day.

This promotion has now ended, so the toys are no longer given out with Happy Meals. If you are still short a character or two, the second-hand market is your best option. Penang parents and collectors trade on Facebook groups and Carousell, and some outlets may have a few leftovers. It does no harm to ask politely at the counter, but don't count on it.

This page stays up so you can check the full list. For the current toys, see the SpongeBob x One Piece page.

Tips

• Ended 21 October 2026. Ask at your usual outlet whether any leftover toys remain, as some outlets may still have stock.
• When buying second-hand, ask for photos of the actual toy and check it is the Malaysian release if that matters to you.
• Swap duplicates in Penang collector groups and meet in a public place such as a mall food court.
• The Kuromi x Mechagodzilla and King Ghidorah designs came out in the final week, so they may be harder to find.
