Sushi King's Happy Hour is a simple, ongoing deal for anyone free on a weekday afternoon. From Monday to Friday, between 3pm and 6pm, registered Sushi King members get 20% off. Sushi King describes it as covering everything on the menu. It is aimed at people who finish work early, students after class, and anyone looking for a late lunch.

The catch is timing. Both ordering and payment have to happen between 3pm and 6pm, so if you sit down at 5:45pm, settle the bill before six. The deal does not apply on weekends, public holidays or school holidays, so it will not be available during the year-end school break.

It is dine-in only, for members, at Sushi King restaurants but not kiosks. It cannot be combined with other promotions, vouchers, coupons or discounts, apart from Sushi King Cash Vouchers. No Smile Points are earned or redeemed on Happy Hour bills. The usual 10% service charge and 6% SST still apply where relevant.

Tips: Download the Sushi King app and register before your visit. Penang outlets on Sushi King's locator are Gurney Plaza, 1st Avenue, E-Gate and Queensbay Mall on the island, and Sunway Carnival, AEON Bukit Mertajam and Auto City on the mainland. Mall parking is easiest to find on weekday afternoons, which suits this deal well.
